PLAYA BONITA
A wonderful, natural beach, deserted and full of palm trees, 14 km long; perfect for unforgettable walks and carefree holidays.
Two coral reefs protect Punta Bonita from high waves and the open sea. The Atlantic in front of Punta Bonita is, because of its cleanliness, one of the secret tips of the Caribbean. Humpback whales, which need absolutely clean water, come every year to the Silver Banks and the Samaná Bay between January and March and give birth to their babies. The beach and the sea are not dangerous for little children.
The water temperature is between 26 and 28 degrees. Even though Punta Bonita is in the tropics, there is always a pleasant sea breeze. The evenings and nights are windless and great for a cosy get-together on the terrace or in the Beach Bar. The nights are pleasant and peaceful.
